i am setting up my first cichld tank i have my substrate and big rock and slate and these are the tank mates i am going to put in

Malawian Cichlids
Electric Yellow Cichlid , Red Zebra Cichlid ,Electric Blue Cichlid, Yellow Peacock Cichlid , Blue Peacock Cichlid, Albino Peacock Cichlid.

Tanganyikan Cichlids
Frontosa Cichlid.

well do you think there will be any problems :dunno:
 
Hi Bodasafa, sounds like you have a nice tank in mind.

What size of an aquarium is this? Do you know the scientific name of that 'electric blue'? There are a number of africans labled as this.
 
I got from your other post that it is 75 gallons.

I'd leave the red zebra out, it would be tough to cator to a lone mbuna in a tank full of peacocks and haps. The Yellow Lab is an mbuna too, but it's an exception, their temperment and diet tend to go along with the others well enough. If the "Electric Blue" is a Fryeri hap, then it sounds good. If it is a Johanni mbuna, then I'd remove that one from the list too. Then you end up with a stunning hap/peacock tank, and all the fish should get along well enough. The Frontosa is from Tanganyika but is likely to get along with those Malawi's without a problem.
