New Tank

hi, my brother (madmattm) got a new tank for christmas, it is a juwel lido 120, 61cm x 41cm x 58cm. it holds 120l, 26 gals. it has 48w of t5 from 2 florescent tubes, or 1.85wpg. he will be dosing 2ml tpn+ daily, and 2ml of AE liquid carbon daily. any suggestions for plants, stocking and substrate, (maybe cat litter and sand?) welcome.

Hi there Pest Control. Have you tried posting in the planted section? Although many of us here have a little plant knowledge, the real savvy people, when it comes to plants, probably spend more time there. Another hint, the thread title should point to what the thread content is. How about something like "Help with substrate and plants for a new tank" so that anyone with some ideas will see it and jump in to help out.
