Hi All

I went and brought a new tank yesterday and am due to collect it next saturday. Once I have cycled it I want to get some new fish to add to the 3 I already have... (Currently have a 6" Bala Shark who I may have to rehome and then I got two Angel fish around 2" long in body)

Anyone got any suggestions for me to start looking into... Ideally I would like some colour as all fish I have are black and silver so far

The tank is a Cleair BC 1200 (I think that is the model number) The guy at the shop said it holds 90G and is 1200mm in length by about 2foot wide where the tank bows out

Am getting excited already...

Is it... http://www.cleairaquaticslimited.co.uk/acatalog/BSAC.html
??

I couldn't find one exactly fitting your description but that's the closest I got.
The 1200 version is actually 98g though. So I am unsure.

Can't recommend how much you should re-home the bala shark. Even the new tank (if it's the one I found), is unsuitable.

As for tank mates for Angels....
Main rule - Nothing that they eventually will grow big enough to eat. For example when fully grown an Angelfish will eat neon tetra.

In that sized tank you probably wont be able to have more than one pair of angels. If your two turn into a breeding pair I'm not sure you'd have enough room for another breeding pair (and it's have to be a second breeding pair that you added). Also if the two turn out to both be males then they will need to be able to have a territory at separate sides of the tank.

I know I'm not being really useful by suggesting anything. But my brain hasn't woken up yet.

HI there, thank u for answering :) That is not the tank, it is the same design but not the deep version. I didnt pay anywhere near that price for it (it was only £560 before reduction!)

Anyway, the poor silver is only in the tank the previous home owners left him in which is a LOT smaller than the new one I am getting. Hopefully it will do until I can rehome him. The fish shop offered to take him but they couldnt give me anything for him... and I knew that they were going to sell him for a BIG profit (£30-40 looking at the other in the shop!) Would rather give him away thank let them make money out of it...

I doubt I would get any more angels in the tank as I would love some more colourful fish lol

Sooner you can re-home him the better. But with the imminent upgrade he will probably be ok long enough for you to get at least some money for him.
Plus depending on what holding tank the lfs would have him in that could cause more harm than good.
And you don't know how long it should be subjected to a very small tank before it was bought.

So sounds like a good plan to me.

I guess I can put in on the classifeds on here at some point in the not to distance future :) Thank u for the reply
