Im just glad i have peaceful personality puffers that get one and dont eat each other. :)
:good:

also in the second pic, i had a plant like the one behind the skull and it slowly starts rotting, not a very good plant. stick with vallis and swords.

Lol ok i will get more sand in :P i have a little in but only to add bulk to the floor.
Strange you say that as that plant is seeming to well i have had it since june and all others have rotted away  it has grown big long roots and buried itself under the substrate

remove all of the substrate you have, becuase they sometimes bury themselves. do you have snail shells in there? they need them to keep there beaks trimmed

What is the skull for lol it make me shiver. :D But u got a nice tank not bad.

cheers paul , Yea i have a few live snails in there that came from the plants that i am trying to get to lay eggs so i have a supply of snails they can hunt , so for now i am not picking them up the and offering them to the puffers (but the male puffer has eaten one). i have been trying to replace it temporarily by feeding them hard mealworms and beetle (mealworm adults) but i was wondering if you knew if i could buy them in shops ? like you can buy BLoodworms frozen, can you get like shrimp and snails?

you can buy feeder shrimp, which you basically find in rivers and things. my local MA charges £1 for 12 of them, or you spend about £4 get alot of cherries and put them in a small tank and feed the puffer the babies as there will be masses.

Ok thanks nick i am going to go round my LFS to see if they have some hard things for them to crunch on.
