New Tank

right starting up a new tank today , and its going to be heavily plated, it will be my first real planted tank and i dont know much about plants , so which 1s are best to get ?
i firstly want a plant which grows very much like a carpet?but have no idea on what plnats these are you see.

then i want a plant which grows tall for the back of the tank?
i kno waht amazon swords are and i think i may get a couple of them if that will be ok ?
o yes and my tank is a 28gal if that makes any difference at all.
o and 1 last thing , what fertiliser do i use if any?

o yes thats another thing , about the lighting, i have a bog standard light in at the moment , well it looks pritty simple to me .
so whats trhe best sort of light for a planted community tank ?
