Fish Fanatic
I finally got my 30 gallon set up for my Arrowhead puffer. Everythign I read said to put in 4" sand for him to burrow in. I put in 4" and it looks like a lot of sand, but I hope the fish likes it. Found a nice rock that will make a good cave for hime to hide in. All I need now it to put in some plants. I was going to put in live plants, but it sounds like this fish will up root the plants all the time. So I am going to go with fake just to make it easier on myself.
Also the tank is cloudy as of now. I washed all the play sand before I put it in there, but it is still cloudy. From what I read this is normal, and it should go away. I put a sponge over my intake on the filter so I wouldn't ruin it. I also have a nother whisper 30 on the way to the house, I have heard these fish are dirty eaters so I figure the more filtration the better.
I put in media from my excisting tank and some ammonia. I am going to let this sit for about 2 weeks to get it cycled. Then I am going to get the puffer. I can't wait this fish is going to be awsome.
Well enough of my rambling. I just had to tell you guys, as all my friends think I am wierd for likeing this hobby so much.
