I saw this plant in a gourami tank at my LFS. There was a lot of it, it was covering the entire top part of the tank about 3 inches deep. It was free floating. I asked if it was a true floating plant or was it just loose in the tank but should actually be planted. The owner told me that they tried to put it in the gravel but it "just floats right back up but it grows a ton". I'm in the process of setting up and cycling a 30 gallon and I'm thinking of putting in a pair of gouramis so I bought a handful of this plant. They didn't know the name of it, and I'm curious to know what it is. Here is a pic...

There are a lot of pieces of it but when they had it in their tank it was very thick, as the tank was smaller than mine and they kind of "clumped" together. Right now, being that is was thinned out and put into a larger tank, it's very piecey and kinda floating around aimlessly. I'm hoping that the peices will continue to grow and will fill in the top area of the tank.

I don't know, unusual one.. maybe Creeping Rush? (Juncus repens) That seems the most likely to me but I guess there's a slight possibility it could be some form of Indian Stargrass (Heteranthera zosterifolia) but I think the leaves are wider on that. WD
