New Tank! Soon...

Once you are done cycling the tank, get 2 or 3 male guppies and say 6 females. No reason to have to buy the rest, they will fill the tank in less than 6 months by themselves. For companions, I am partial to corydoras and would get about 6 all alike. They will not harm the guppies and are entertaining with their antics. They also help the way the tank looks by creating some action in the lower half of the tank.

My personal extremely biased opinion would be swordtails. Lots of swordtails.

Dont get 30, get 15

10 females, 5 males - believe me, this is enough as you will need a lot of room for fry

always have 2 females to one male, preferably 3 females to 1 male

how can anybody else get their livebearers to fill up the tank?, my has plants hiding spaces galor, and the ONLY fry that survive are the ones I fish out as soon as their born and keep in a seperate tank.

The 30 fish are the fish I have bred and I need another tank to put them in when they reach almost adult size. Because I have 40 medium sized fry in A 60L with 4 adults there will not be enough room in the 60L so thats why I'm getting a 215L.
