My little red tail!

So far its just the red tail and 3 honey gouramis I'm hoping to add a shoal of maybe 6 tiger barbs, a siamese fighter and maybe an angel ... would this be about right or could I get some more in?

Too small for an angel and they certainly arnt compatable with tiger barbs :) if you were to just get the barbs you should be alright there.

Looking good.

Nice tank, but forget the Betta with Tiger barbs, unless you want a finless fish

Hmm I'm kinda stuck on the idea of the Betta what other kind of shoal would you recommend?

I liked the idea of the tiger barbs because of their appearance so any other ideas of some cool looking fish that shoal?

Nice tank ur shark is cool.

Cheers I'm gonna get a load more plants mainly on the left hand side I reckon.

What would guys recommend for with a betta?

Is there no way i can have an angel in this size of tank? (20 gallon)

What nice lookin shoal would you recommend? Links/pictures more than welcome.

Cheers

Spot on!!!!!!!!!!!!
not true. i have my angels with tiger barbs without any problems. the issue of the barbs picking on angel fins can be resolved if the number of barbs is more than 5. this way they'd spend most of the time chasing each other around and leaving other fishes alone.

a 20g would do for ONE angel if and only if your tank height is at least 18".

Cool man and what about the tiger barbs with the betta?

Or am I just pushing my luck? lol

Cheers

I like your shark ! :)

Your tank should be ok for 1 or 2 angels if the height is 18 inches +

and.. I agree with Straydum about the barbs and angels. Your angels should be fine if you keep 5 tiger barbs (or more) . Adding plants and hiding spots would help too.

I can't help you about your betta.

Good luck !

Cool man I plan on adding a fair few more plants over the coming weeks so that should help with that :)

Tank looks good.
Looking forward to seeing more fish in it.

P.S. I'm really jealous of your shark!!

What about five banded barbs for the shoal? or a few phantom tetras, penguin fish or bleading heart tetras...

The betta, would, unfortunately get munched in any tank with fin nipping fish. I would agree that the barbs would leave the angel alone if they numbered more than 5 (keep odd number). However, keep an eye on it.

How about some hatchet fish? they can fill your top layer, or some panchax?

Carry on, great looking tank. I would invest in some floating plants to give your barbs somewhere to play (water lettuce, amazon frog bit etc - v cheap and easy).
