I think your tank is about 18 gallons or there abouts, very small for a cichlid tank. I would n't use anything below about 35 - 40 gallons unless you stock it with shell dwellers.

see what the experts reckon though. Are they all malawi cichlids in there? I could be wrong but it looks like there are south american cichlids in there too, (the ones at the bottom left of the pic). Also looks like you have haps and mbuna in there.

im really a newbie in this, don`t really knw the name and speices of the fish  still budget on having a big tank, will get one if they growww

Any chance you can get closer pics of individual fish? From what I can see it does look like you have labidochromis caeruleus (the yellow ones), I think the blue ones are metraiclima callainos, but I can be sure cause the pic is blurry, and I think the red one on the front right is a hap of some sort.

Basically, all of your fish are unsuitable to your tank size. You should have a minimum of 55 gallons for most of them, and larger for the hap (the red one). Most of these fish are going to hit sexual maturity at around 2 inches where all of your problems are going to start, african cichlids can be very aggressive in small tanks and with unsuitable tankmates, you will most likely have one fish that will become hyper-dominate and kill off all the other fish. Unless you are going to be able to upgrade to at least 55gals in the next month (at the most), you'll need to rehome the fish. Even if you are able to upgrade that soon, you'll need to identify all of your fish and determine which will be suitable to be kept together (we can help you with that).

I'm sorry if I sound harsh (I don't intend to by any means), but african cichlids are pretty demanding when it comes to housing and tankmates. Please if you can't get a larger tank in the next month, rehome the fish.
