hey all,
about 10 years ago i had a 20 gallon tank. recently picked up a 45 gallon show aquarium and reintroduced myself to the hobby (mostly for relaxation reasons) also helps keep me occupied
stumbled on this forum and from reading the posts has really helped out a lot. i take it most people here are UK? i'm in canada
if anyone's interested this is my setup
eheim 2215 filter
200w heater
flourite substrate
coralife 4x65w light on a 12h timer. no need to operate any more lights in the room anymore. lol.
and in the tank ..
hygrophila polysperma
cryptocoryne x willsii
6 platy's
4 cardinal tetras
one of my platys had a fry and one of the others promptly ate it.. too bad
co2 injection into filter inlet (yeast method), hygro is growing noticably each day.
my lfs sells nylon bags which i'll use to divide the bio media, a nice tip i picked up from here.
tank is about 2 weeks old now.
