Hi i have recently bought a Juwel Rekord 96 and was going to use it as a divided tank for some male bettas. But soon after getting it home I decided that i would be a bit more adventurous. The only problem is I can't decide on what fish to keep in there, because i am fairly new to fishkeeping I don't know what fish are compatible with others!!!!

So here is the question
If this was your tank what would you stock it with?????

Was thinking about Dwarf Cichlids or maybe a few of the larger ones or just a nice community tank!!

The tank is 81L x 46H x 36W cm and at the minute is "decorated" if you can call it that!!! My advice is to not to let your girlfriend decorate your tank unless she knows what she is doing, otherwise you end up with blue gravel, 2 free tacky ornaments and a £20 Castle!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So after i decide what to put in the tank i will redecorate accordingly

Thanks in advance for our help

If I've done the conversion correctly, that works out to 29 UK gallons which is close to what I have. You mentioned dwarf cichlids. In mine I have a community tank built around a trio of cockatoo cichlids. (check my profile) You could do a similar community setup starting with a trio of apistogramma or a pair of rams. There are lots of choices for tankmates with any of those: small tetras, pencilfish, hatchetfish, corydoras, just to get you started.

Cheers for the quick responses!!!

Yeah was I leaning towards dwarf cichlids, and i was really hoping someone would say I could keep tetras and hatchetfish because i was thinking about those 2!!! Just need to see what dwarf cichlids my LFS has i'll nip down tomorrow see what they can get hold of.

now just need to design a better looking setup than what i have now! shouldnt be too hard!!!!!!!!!!

I'd say do a few gourmis. Their so relaxing to watch peacfully glide through a clean aqarium.....
