I have been searching for a new tank I was going to purchase a 72 x 18 x 18 however my Mum discovered how big it was and said No Lol.
I ended up buying a 4 ft by 18" by 20 " with a pine stand for $240. I then bought a Eheim classic external filter and a Jager Eheim 300 watt heater and 2 bags of fine brown/black gravel and got all this delivered combined for $520.
I will be cycling it via cloning my 32 gallon to the new tank. I have a rather thick layer of gravel which should have some nice bacteria along with the larger filter it should work much better this time :).
Any advice or comments I will post updates, as if anyone cares :p

People will say and they may be right, that the gravel will not hold much bacteria. I however recently transfered tanks and i spent a few mins swapping the gravel along with the filter and my tank carried on cycling as if nothing had happended. I even used 70% of my old water!!!

Personally i would go for it with the gravel. It won't hurt and your bottom feeders will have a good source of food instantly.

Post some pics so we can see!!!
