and was curios if i would be able to maintain a suitable water quality for a chinese algae eater which is getting a bit chubby and i want to keep it.
Also a 25w thermometer im going to fill it with water from my current 200l tank.

anyone got any suggestions or tips.

im going to allow the filter to run in my large tank for a while and then place it in, then ill do a full water test and if its suitable run it from then on.

Thanks for any help or input.

If those measurements are in inches, the new tank from your sister is quite a bit bigger than the 200 liters. It is about 265 liters. If your original measurements are in cm, the tank would be a small 16 liter tank which might be too small for the CAE. A 25W heater in a 265 liter tank won't affect the temperature much even if it is on all the time. In a 16 liter, it would be about right.
Running a new filter in an existing tank is a good way to get it cycled and ready to go.
