i bought a new tank a few months ago
the size is 2 1/2 foot long by 1 1/2 foot high
i set the tank up and left it a just over a week before transfering my fish over
all my fish are fine
but i do a 15% water change one a week and the filter i have in my tank is a fluval 3 (it came with the tank)
after about 3 days (after i put the fish in)
my tank went really cloudy
i have checked the filter and everything is fine
when i do the 15%water change it does clear up a bit but not a lot
i only feed my fish once a day and there is hardly any dead food on the bottom
but my tank is still cloudy and i dont know why
can any1 help me plz!!!!

its cycling :good:
you only left it a week with no ammonia source so it never cycled and when you added all your fish it went into a cycle.

the cloudyness is like a browny colour,
all i have is 7 neons 2 small guromais (sorry cant spell that) a plec and 2 mollys

I would suggest doing a 50% water change. Your tank right now is trying to cycle, with all the fish you just added. Also I hope you have good filtration, because pleco's cause a lot of waste often. Try doing daily 25% water changes.

I had one of my tanks go cloudy before, and I did a 65% water change and then did water changes about 25% for a few days in a row and it cleared up the next week.

:good: thats great!! i will do a 50% water change in the morning! then 25% a day till it clears up
i hope it works!

thanks for your help
