Fish Crazy
finally picked up my new tank today a fluval roma 240 only to get it home to find the bottom smashed round where the base is drilled for the filter pipes so gave them a call took it back and got another, so cabionet built then set about putting the background on used a normal black sheet but put it on with fixol which took me nearly an hour to get all the bubbles out ( tip number 1 dont shake the bottle before you use it
) then set about washing the sand, i opted for unipac limpopo black sand left it rinsing in the garden while building up the filter system, just got the sand in after 3 hours of washing it bit by bit (forgot how much i hate washing gravel ) and added a couple of buckets of water and decided to call it a day so to check the seals on the filter to the tank are ok and the fact ive been tank building cleaning and squeegying for 6 hours, will put pics on tomorrow of the stage its at tonight, will be filling and vacuuming it tomorrow to remove the settled muck off the sand,
just sat down now and looked at my old tank with all the inmates of my other 2 100L tanks that are being consolidated to this 1 only to find my long finned black widow tetra finless and dead floating round in the cyclone that is been created by the 2 fluval 3+'s and the aquaflow200 ( the reason for this is all the filters are mature and have got a seriousley overstocked 100L until i get the roma up and running its a sight to behold as i lookslike a lfs plant display tank with all the plants from 2 tanks in 1
