New Tank :d

Its here :D full of water and starting the cycle before i add some mature media to it :)

sadly though i can't find the bloody camera lead!!

although after getting up out of my chair to look i've found it! :D

pics in a min then when i upload them :good:

EDIT

damn it! that was the printer lead

pah i cant find the bloody thing!

anyways first lot of ammonia is in (well it went in a while ago) and it's reading between 4 and 8 so thats always a good start! just need to wait now :)

no fish in yet but i still love it :D i keep looking at it though and think its not that big, until i look over at my old 3ft (which i thought was huge when i first got it!) I wasnt going to keep the black BG but i quite like it now

got some plants in there now while its in its cycle. Not sure if they are aquatic but i hope so!!

1 Echinodrus mix
1 Echinodrus cordifolius marble queen
1 Echinodrus rosea
2 Cryptocoryne beckettii

also ordered:

2 Hygrophilia Polysperma
1 Cryptocoryne Becketii (so thats 3 in total)
1 Cryptocoryne Wendtii
1 Lindernia Rotundifolia

Also ordered some riccia, i know its a pain but no harm in giving it a go!! Oh and i ordered some root tabs.

Well today i got a nitrIte reading :D

only 0.25 but at least i know its working!! all the plants arrived yesterday but they were out of riccia :( i really like the looks of the plants and the black background

so now i know the cycle has started i dont know if i should wait it out until its finished or add my mature fluval 3 from my old tank and add all my fish since i know it can cope with the bio load? whats the best? my idea was to have cycle my new filters so they are breaking down the ammonia and nitrIte then add the fish and mature filter
