hey everyone I am not particularly new at fish keeping but it would be much appreciated if you check this set up over . Last night I calculated each fish I wanted using about 2" of fish per gallon is that alright?

Tank size: 45 gallon
2X Rams
4X guppys 1.5 inches each
5X corydoras 1.5 to 2 inches each
2X single Bristlenose pleco 5 inches each
6X cherry barbs Count as 1 inch each- would prefer a larger school
10X neon tetras Count as 1/2 inch each
1 Small Angel - grow to 6 inch

The plants I would like to place in are:
amazon sword
bacopa monnieri
echinodorus rubin or Echinodorus Ozelot
echinodorus tennellus

Is there any preferable substrate for these plants or will any nutritional sand do? Will any of the fish eat the plants?

Was planning to use some 5-10mm gravel and "eco complete" or Seachem "flourite" hopefully the gravel would migrate to the top leaving the fertiliser underneath for the plants

Thank you for any suggestions they will be most appreciated

The rule is generally 1" per gallon. The BN will only eat your plants if s/he's hungry and they may uproot them. Eco-complete (EC) is used on it's own so no other substrate is needed. you will also need to know how much light you need, once you get to 2WPG you need co2. Ask in planted section for more answers.

Thanks, Aaron

It looks pretty good,

Full grown neons can grow to 1"
And you might wanna rethink the lone angel, they do like to be in groups and can be aggressive.
