I finally persuaded mum to upgrade her shabby 4ft aquarium that she keeps in the extension which is bathed with light. So i've got limited options as ive got to transfer what she has already, if it were me, i'd love to have a cichlid only tank. However, she has got a community tank, with your usual danios, tetras, bolivian rams etc. We havent got much stock atm, so will be looking at options later.
I bought two lovely pieces of redmoor wood which cost me 40 pounds, a bunch of java fern, java moss and sagittaria subulata, we need a lot more in terms of decoration and plants but money is extremely tight now. Ive also got some TPN+, flourish excel and some slate caves which id love to cover in moss and let grow out. Unfortunately co2 is not an option, i tried my best to look into the bottle rental, but im flat broke after this process and hoping that ill get away with some undemanding plants. I've got 2.1wpg so ill see how that goes, although I know a co2 unit would definately benefit me, we all have to prioritise!
Im not sure if i want the wood as a centrepiece or put the decor in the two corners and have it creep into the middle, if you get what i mean. I might also create a slope effect in the corners and then decorate from there...too many options.
Any suggestions?
