Can anyone reccommend a good air pump and sponge filter which would be strong enough to filter a 60 litre aquarium? How much would this cost compared to a standard internal filter?

I was having a look at this pump:

My link

But I don't know if this would be too strong or weak for my 60l tank, does anyone know?

Any advice would be appreciated, thanks.

i got a cheap #105### one from ebay mate pretty strong flow and good circulation but it is alongside a intercept 60-100 litre filter

Well I would shop around because that one doesn't say how many gallons its rated for... you probably want a sponge that's for like 20-30 gallons since your tank is 15 and get a pump that's good for up to 20-30 gallons and then get a flow adjuster and just play with it until the flow is strong enough to filter but doesn't bother your fish, keeping in mind your stocking. Since that sponge doesn't say how much it's for, just that its for small aquariums, I'll assume it's for like 5 gallon tanks. It's better to be a little over filtered than under filtered. Is it just the betta in the tank or were you planning on having tank mates?

I have 1 betta and 4 corydoras in the tank. The cuurent is a bit to strong for the beta I think.

"pinch" the airline tubing with a paperclip or something similar to slow the bubble rate.
no need to go out and get a new airpump.
cheers
