Hi Guys,
My first attempt has paid of thus far.
I have between 100-150.
To be honest i didnt think it would happen. I put them together and straight away they were
ok with each other but she wasnt at all interested in his nest. She destroyed it a bit and made
it much smaller. I left the room for about an hour and came back and she was sitting in between
the plants so i thought back to conditioning for her.
yesterday i came back and i found lots of little tails hanging out of the bubbles. He has been hard
at work picking up all of the ones that fall to the bottom. I accidently bumped the table and watched
in horror as he frantically picked up about 40 of the 50 that fell
Ive done a lot of research to get me to this point but now i'm a bit freaked out as i dont want to
stuff up and have them all die.
how long until they need to be fed. they have only been hatched for around 24 hours. I imagine
that they dont have to be fed until they are freely swimming? (those that remain)
I guess its normal that he doesnt pick up all of the fallen babies?
can anyone help me for the next part?
i.e
-what food recomended (my plants are silk so have not put infusoria in the water)?
-when to start?
-how many should survive?
will keep you posted.
Thanks in advance
Adam

You can even start feeding live BBS to the fry right away if you want, a lot of people do this, but only the larger ones will be able to eat them so you might lose some.
Keep us updated on the little ones.
