I just got some new snails. 5 of them actually and I have set up a nursery in the 5 gallon. They are called mystery snails and Royal is living in the nursery too. Royal seems fine with the new snails who have not come out since we got home. But will Royal eat the eggs that they have?

well if they have eggs.

He could if he gets hungry enough but if you keep him feed good he will leave the snails and there eggs alone.

I hope you plan on getting a bigger tank for them very soon. Each snail needs 2.5 gallons minimum, and very preferably filtered water. Which means you need at least a 12.5 gallon tank for 5 snails ALONE (no betta or anything else with them).

Mystery snails lay their eggs above the water so the betta wouldn't be able to eat them. You'll want to remove the eggs when they're laid... unless you want baby snails. But keep in mind that, in order to ship snails across state borders, you need a USDA permit. If you ship without one, and it is discovered, you will get fined.

don't get stressed, lisie is just letting you know what you need if you start selling them and they go out of state. Best to be aware so you don't get caught out.

Oh.lol I might sell some to my local petstore. Do I need a permit for that too?

Yah, was just letting you know so you're aware of that in case you were thinking about letting their egg clutches hatch. You only need a permit if shipping to another state, so as long as your pet store is in the same state, you're fine there. :good:
