Hi people, think id better start with some background being new to the forum.
Im steve been keeping fish for a few years, started with the usual community tank guppies tetras etc etc, then moved on to Mbuna a few years ago, my tanks grew from a rio 180 to a custom 4ft piano shaped acrylic tank and im now at a 6x2x2 with a 4x1.5ft sump, in the sump i have 50kg of alfa grog, set of sponges from coarse to fine, and 30 litres of seachem pond matrix, feeding the sump are 2 x 40mm drains and returning to the tank is an eheim compact 5000 which is turned down to about 4000 LPH. My tank currently is dark as ive not got any lights, ive been toying with the idea of making my own LED array just not got around to it yet. (obviously getting fixed shortly)
Im playing with the idea of turning back to tropicals but not 100% on what i want, i would love a sting ray or a puffer but not sure the ray is really an option, would love people to just throw some ideas up in the air for me.

Thaks Steve.

I think a 6x2x2 should be ok to house a fresh water sting ray. The tank would also look good with some larger Cichlids maybe some Severums.

6ft should be the minimum length for freshwater rays but I;d suggest more floorspace with a wider tank than 2ft 30 inch onwards as their disc size needs them needing a lot of ground space
