personally I would put more gravel in.looking good though :good:

picked up another 8kg bag of black gravel today which i'll mix with 2kg of red and that'll double up what i already have.. just gotta wait for the rest of the ornaments and plants to turn up now :)

got some decor in the tank now... but even after 10 or more soaks of the wood it has still stained the water :( will this clear over time?? or is it worth looking for an alternative in there??

any how heres some pics of the first attempt

As you will have to do a substantial water change at the end of the cycle, I would have thought that like mine it will clear up over time. Alternatively you could try boiling the bogwood, I didn't bother.

Good start :good:

the wood was boiled twice then soaked at least 8 times after for 2-3 days at a time.. as you say hopefully it'll clear with the large water change :)
