New Red Tooth Trigger, Likes Rocks, Alot

hey i just got a new red tooth trigger (****** trigger) and all it seems to want to do is stick its head into a hole in the live rock and not come out. is this normal? Thanks

Yes it's normal.

Just give it some time to adjust to it's new surroundings.

My trigger was similar in nature at first. Very reclusive and quite skittish whenever people passed the tank. Now he's right in front of the glass everytime wanting food whenever someone comes near .

My last Niger took ages to calm down - was very skittish even when the auto feeder went he would dash in to a hole & hide - it took him about 6 months to settle but he was a great fish after that
