I'm guessing thats going to be marine>
I personally would prefer a nature aquarium.
Nice setup though, be nice in your trendy front room,

It was going to be marine, but i have now decided to keep Tanganykan cichlids. I have a nano reef at the moment, but i miss breeding cichlids so i am having a go at Tropheus. :D

Fahaka puffer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have fell in love with them latly and can only dream of a tank and i am pretty sure you could keep one in there.

How did you apply the background?

Looks good mate. Whats the little box attatched to the tank?

It is a wavebox, the idea being you put the internals of a tunze wavebox inside so there is no big black box inside the tank. I will not be using it now so it will probably be used as a spawning cave or i might just take it off.

I love puffers but i want to have a go at breeding Cichlids again. :)

The background is acrylic and was applied using soapy water and a credit card type tool.

Rocks and sand in.

:)

Sump all plumbed in, i have used a course, medium and fine sponge in the sump, and i have filled the overflow with 100 bioballs. I am also running a small internal in the sump with carbon in.

:look:

Great looking tank and setup! From what I have read and seen it will suit Tropheus down to a tee! Also the colour of the rock is perfect. The one thing that I might add is that the blue background on the tank coupled with the white substrate will make the colouration of the fish seems washed out slightly. If it would be possible and not too much hassle I would recommend changing to a darker background to really show the fish off. All in all, a really nice sophisticated tank setup, keep up the good work and make sure to update!!

What is the ph of the water from your tap? and if it is low are you planning on using any particular buffer to bring it up? Also have you made any decisions on which spp of Tropheus you are thinking of keepinig?
