New Polyresin Ornament Smells Of Paint

my new polyresin ornament arrived today. it's hollow, but the square rim on the bottom is painted with black and still smells of paint. is the ornament safe for the fish?

the paint is dry. it just has the smell of paint on the bottom.

I wouldn't add it till it dosn't smell of paint, the water could make the paint flake and unseal it.

Tip the ornament onto its side so the bottom paint get a chance to dry out.

would it be better to completely submerge it sideways in cold water?

also, could the bottom paint be giving off a smell because i soaked it for 2 hours in warm water?

I would let it dry out now as soaking it before the paint dryed it could start flaking off the paint.
If you can still smell a paint smell noway would i add it to the tank yet.
The paint needs to really dry out and loose that smell.
