New Plants!

I decided to pop into a Super Pet the other day, mainly because I was at the Ikea and can't resist a new pet store. I ventured to the fish section (obviously)... and what a plant section. I though my Big Al's had a good selection, but this store had a nice tank in the middle, and then every tank had 3 or 4 plants... and it was easily 50 tanks. And what a sale day too... potted plants, 2 for 6.50, and bunch plants for a dollar! To bad I don't have room for more plants, or I would have gotten more. I am totally going to back when I get my new filter and maybe some CO2.

So on with the pictures....

Starting with my gorgous Red Tiger Lotus. I got 2 of them...

And some Java Fern to cover my cave in (the guy gave me a massive plant for 5 bucks. I got this much, and at least double it.) so here is 2 angles of my new and improved cave.

It was actually yesterday I was there, but I didnt get to take pictures until today because the water change made the water all cloudy.

Even though it's a 20-25 minute drive (Burlington), I'm going to go back again, and if the plants are still that good I think that will be my plant store. I'll gladly drive farther if I know there are better plants. Plus... it's right beside Ikea, and I could spend all day there.

Yea, Don't even get me started on Ikea...My girlfriend loves that store and everytime we go I always leave exhausted...did you know they have marriage councillers on site...I heard that somewhere !?!

Your plants look healthy and the cave looks great. The rocks, they don't look like slate but they have this texture about them that make the cave look better. You got a good deal with that java fern too, it's going to look great once it grows over the entire cave, nice tigers btw. Really nice tank.
