Some of those will get tall. I am having the same thing in my tank. All my plants were bought as little baby plantys, so my tank is looking pretty empty...but that's part of the fun, waiting for them to grow out, just to realize it's not the right plant. Then ripping it out and putting a new baby there.

My cabomba grew at least 4 inches in the few weeks since I planted! You'll be cutting them down with a weed whacker :) :good:

Thanks everyone :) good to know people like my tank, I must be doing something right.... Unless your all just being nice lol All I know is 2 of the plants u have are amazon swords lol I had them given to me early off a friend. Think I'd rather have them small and let them grow. Although I am thinking of having a couple of bigger ones towards the back.

i hate to be the barer of bad news but some of those plants are not true aquatic plants, they are marsh plants. They will eventually rot and cause ammonia spikes, leaving you wide open to an algae bloom.

The front left and the 2 middle plants with variegated leaves are the non aquatics.

Thanks for the info il keep that in mind

1st sign of rot and they are gone lol I keep a very close eye on all my tanks

I did the same thing. I bought what PetCo called "White & Green Ribbon Plants" and I liked like so much I bought about $30-40 worth. I put them in my tank & it looked great! Only to find out they aren't true aquatic plants!!! I figured leave them in for awhile & slowly replace them with better, low/moderate lighting plants. The leaves will begin to turn brown at the tips & eventually individual leaves will turn clear. That's when it's time to go..........

I only have 1 Ribbon plant left & it's been going since this past October. It shows no signs of dying-yet anyway.

If youy like the red & green of the plants in the middle you should try a Red Rubin Sword.

Taken after putting some more real plants in... Still not where I want it so off to get some more tomorrow...
