New Plants...

I got some of the healthiest most beautiful plants today.
The problem is that they are covered in snails!!!!!!
I can not put them in my tank!
I do not want a snail problem ever again!
What do I do?

Help me kill the snails and not the plants... please!

I often hear people using a minute long bleach dip,
Followed by a dip in some declorinised water,

But I'm not sure of the timings/ratios.

I wash all my plants manually before putting them in, so I can get rid of the snail eggs. It has worked very well for me, and only 2 or 3 have escaped my attention in 8 months....

check for any eggs if non put in salt dip for couple sec

I cleaned them. Then I did the bleach dip. After that I cleaned them again and soaked them in water with declor.
I left them in separate bowls overnight. Then I cleaned them again and put them in a tank.

I hope I didn't miss anything.

I guess we will see.

Watch your tank very carefully. It's amazing how these guys can hide. You think you have none, then the next morning you have 8.

This is why I hate them so much.
I am still thinking about getting some loaches so I won't have to worry so much. I just need to decide what kind will work in each tank. (and find them)
