New Planted Tank

I am making a new, small, planted tank, of 15 gallons, i'm filling it with bamboo, but i'd like to get some floating plants to help fill it in a bit more, and give it a more natural look, any ideas?

duckweed is the fastest growing floating plant you can get, but for more control, go for:

water lettuce
salvina natans

I like the salvinia natans, what kind of work do they need? any?

no, just low light, and a fertiliser, yellow leaves show signs of nutrient deficiency

Does it need fertilizer? and how much light, and for how long?

an off the shelp fert will do, dont use nutrafin plant gro, it is rubbish.

i suppose you have a 15w light? that will do, with it floating, it gets most of the light anyway

Leave the lights on for 8 - 12 hours straight
