New Plant ?

i bought a new plant at my LFS for 10 $ and they didnt know the type so they gave me alot of it, it appears to be some sort of sword plant but i am not sure, i will post a picture today and i wanted to know, how can i take care of them and prune them? i see a baby one growing on its leaves, anyone know anything about sword plants? i think it might be a slender leaved amazon.

Sounds like it might be Java fern, if its got plantlets growing on the leaf tips:

If it is Java fern, they are best tied onto either a stone or bogwood as the roots latch on to them. They don't generally like to be planted into the gravel. Theres a nice sticky post on how to tie them to bogwood in this forum

yes it looks similar but the leaves are narrower, and i have no rocks or bogwood, so i guess i will have to leave it planted.

Like Swords there are many varieties of Java Fern.

Maybe you have needle leaf or narrow leaf variety?
