New Plant Question

I bought a wisteria from a chain store, today, and noticed when I got it home there are about 3-4 stems held together with a rubber band. Should this be removed, or will it be fine, as is? Thanks!

I would remove it and spread the stems out, so they aren't in one big bunch. Rubber bands in the aquarium are fine though. They do seem to disintegrate over time. Alot of my filter are held together with rubber bands.
