I am currently setting up and cycling the tank to prepare for the 3 baby pirahnas

for now i just have the gravel in there and my 2 filters cycling the water

Tommorow i plan to get some sand from the lfs and some plastic plants
after the water dechlorinates i talked to my dealer and he said i can get live plants for cheap from my lfs also

currently the PH is 6.2-6.4
not sure about anything else im gonna save testing until the entire tank is fully set up to put fish in

heres pics of the baby tank in the process of being set up

Looking good so far but I thought you were waiting to put your Pirhanas in a bigger tank?!

What is your filtration turnover and L/H?

well i decided to keep the babies in this nice environment instead of a huge tank
then in a month i will have a large 75-100g to transplant them into

the aqua-tech on the left does 120g/h
and the aqua-clear on the right does 150g/h

Carnivore, I'm not getting at you but you were given good advice on your other thread about keeping the Pirhanas in that size tank. If it's only a month away until you get your new tank, then be patient and wait.

no its not that im impatient
where i live its hard to get a hold of pirahnas
theres only one lfs in the city that has them and he only has 9 left and he had 12 yesturday

then order online. And you are being impatient, if they dont have the piranhas when you have the 75 gallon, then wait until they do have it. Plus in a month you get the 75 gallon tank but you will probably need to wait another 1-2 months before you can actually get the piranha, so the pirahna would be in a 20 gallon tank for 2-3 months. Poor fish.

What are you using to cycle?

i dont have paypal or anything and i think itd be half sketchy getting a live creature delivered

what do you mean what am i using to cycle?

how are you cycling, make a paypal account, and if you are sketchy about getting fish from online then why arent you sketchy about putting a few big fish in a 20 gallon tank

i dunno how you call pirahnas that are only an inch, big fish
considering im moving them to a bigger than before they get 3 inches big

your by far the sauciest one on this site i dont see why
i didnt do anything to you first of all
second of all the reason why i see shipping live creatures across countries is because i very much doubt theyd get here alive
and its too difficult to deal with

Most fish are shipped one way or another, otherwise fish stores would have no fish to sell.
As long as the online comapny is reputable, then there is no reason why your fish shouldn't turn up healthy.

im just saying what i think is best for the fish, i dont care if you dont like me. Your getting a bigger tank so soon, everyone told you to, im pretty sure (but i need to check) that you said you were going to listen to us, and now you say you are going to do what you wanted to do in the first place and not listen to us. You only hear what you want to hear so even if i sound mean or anything it wont matter since you wont want to hear what i have to say even if i said it nicely.

Fish are shipped to your lfs the same way they are shipped to your house.

i dont buy stuff online because i dont have paypal, so i will get them from my lfs
the original idea was to keep the pirahnas in this tank forever so you cant say im being arrogant?
i have a completely different plan now
and on the other hand ill take my fish dealers word over yours considering
hes been running a successful buissness for 20 years

have you considered he is a business man and is in it for the money?

Oh and you dont need paypal, just a credit card or something would work.

We told you not to keep it in long term AND not to put it in a grow out tank and just wait until it gets a bigger tank. So you half listened to us i should say.

Oh and next time you go to your lfs ask when he is getting another shipment of piranhas in, if they do go fast he will stock faster since its all about supply and demand.

If you are only interested in what the shop guy said then there's not much point in asking questions on the forum.
People won't tell you what you want to hear, they will advise you from experience and doing plenty of research.
