This morning I found the male hiding in the plants in fairly good cover. However, he is not moving at all. Even a couple of hours after he was placed in the tank he was exploring, especially along the bottom, in and out of the plants and rocks. For the past 12 hours (well I don't know for sure because it was night time) he's been in the same spot. I don't even see the female now. She must be hiding very well. I hope she's alright.


lucky62 asked if he has clamped fins. Honestly, I've seen the term before but I don't know what it means. His dorsal fin is in the up position right now, the fin on top. Before he mostly had it down when he was swimming around, although he did raise it a few times.
 
clamped fins [ looking collapsed , or drawn to his body for lack of a better term ]can be a sign of stress or illness , If he splays his his fins out most of time , that's a good sign .
 
Unfortunately, it looks like the male isn't going to make it. I'm going to start a new thread about it. :sad:
