I've been feeding my oscars "Omega One" large pellots for cichlids as well as frozen bloodworm, frozen beefheart and the occasional spiruline pellot.
My question is regarding frozen foods such as shrimp you would buy at the grocery store.
Should I buy "frozen cooked shrimp" or just frozen "uncooked" shrimp, or does it matter?

Any tips on homemade food would be welcome as well.

Thanks in advance.

So raw shelled shrimp it is.
Beefheart as well, any tips on how to serve it?
yup, throw it in the tank

If your buying a whole heart and not the frozen stuff then just trim the fat off and run it through a meat grinder with other foods and vitamins if you wish and then freeze it and there ya go.

I presume the "frozen" beefheart is already trimmed of the fat etc?
At my local aquarium club's next meeting we are making homemade food, I think I'll try my hand at making some specific food for my oscars.
