New Oscar :)

Unfortunately lost my Big O a few weeks ago (heater thermostat issue, killed filter, Nitrite peak, Oscar never got over the stress/internal infections ).


Been keeping my eye out for a "rescue"...e.g. one that someone needs to get rid of.

..and lo and behold...one came up yesterday...a 5-6 inch "Albino" (Lutino) that was getting hassle from larger cichlid tank mates.

Soooo...picked it up last night ....excuse the pics...they are from my phone.

hes a really handsome fella !!
incidently its not an albino its a lutino - the 2 are different in that, albinos have no colour pigmentation therefore will be pure white with red eyes we all just call them albinos for ease i think

Haha...yes....that was why I put the "quote" marks around the albino bit....it was described as an Albino, but is Lutino.

I do like the silver/grey shading he/she has over the ends of fins..........am thinking of adding another, as I felt the last guy may have been lonely.

Stocking on this 93 USgallon tank is 1 x Oscar, 6 x Silver Dollars, 1 x plec.
