New "oops" Fish

Went out today to get a few corycats and some bloodfin tetras....asked for 4 tetras...she put them in a bag with the 6 cories so I didn't notice anything til I got home....actually gave me 3 of the tetras & 1 black neon...poor guy! He's been spending all his time with my harlequin rasboras (they are the same colors as him just half his size!) Any other horror stories from LFS etc. of this type of thing? I've actually got free fish a few times when they overcount but never a different kind before....

once at walmart, i was buying a african cichlid and the sales associate was using the same net as for the last customers (they bought guppies)
so i get home to find a guppy fry (must have got caught in the net) in the bag with my new african... i'm suprized he wasn't a snack, i gave it to my cousin who keeps a few guppies in a 5 gal.

i tried to buy 4 blue tetra last year. i got 2 blue tetra, 2 green flame tetra and a pearl danio !!!

Recently i bought 6 narrow wedge harlequins, i got 5 harlequins and 1 other that i dunno - something with a black stripe through it.

I also bought 5 black neon tetras, but they gave me 8

I've actually got free fish a few times when they overcount but never a different kind before....

When I bought my first 6 fish - all platies, I 'inherited' a tiny silver mollie fry. He's survived in the tank despite being so tiny although he's still only an inch long nose to tail and he's 4 months old now. Not sure if he'll get any bigger.

I got a scarlet badis for free in a bag with 3 Leopard ctenopoma

It made the trip home but died of natural causes some time later

Purchased 2 Cory Tri-lins.

Very pleased to release from the bag 2 Cory and....

...a tiddler of a Harliquin who was made to feel immediately at home with my current stock of Harli's!
