New Molly Babies Weekend Feeding Blocks !

Ok, so i don't have any test kits for the tank, what should i be testing and what do you recommend in the way of brands? it sounds like ammonia is a must to check but if the ppms are so low what tests are accurate enough? I am doing 20% - 25% water change once a week, do you think this should be increased if i am over stocked?

We do not plan on keeping the fish as said, I need to keep them long enough to be able to take them to the shop.

So . . . I think feed all the fish before I go and make sure I have some plants in with the fry and hope for the best, no blocks. Does this sound ok given that the fry need to be fed every 6 hours?

thanks again
Tony.

Buy one of these,

and tbh... 50% every day would be best....

50% everyday ! wow, i have not heard of that before?? is my tank really badly over stocked? When I do 20% I treat the water going into the tank with a dechlorinator but i am never sure how long to leave it, with a 50% change everyday will I have to match temperature and how long should I give the dechlorinator to work on the new water?

Thanks for the tip on the tests, I will get one on order.

well for a 23l tank you shouldn't have more than 6 neon tetra!

never mind 2 full bodied mollys and 7 guppies!

AND your adding 30 fry at 10mm each...

Neons are not suitable for this tank size.

for now i'd say do 25% daily or 50% every other day, luckily the fish you do have aren't huge waste producers.

the fry should be fine with some plant matter in there to nibble at, Mollies love there green foods

only 20 fry but they won't be staying . .

Without the fry what should I be doing to keep the fish I have or should I be thinking of another tank, changing the tank is not really an option so if so should I reduce the fish??

well just do the water changes daily until you get rid of the fry,

But your easiest option is just have a look on ebay, I saw a 2 ft tank go for £10.50 with filters and heaters(if he actually gave it to the seller is a diffrent story)

But in a 23l I would keep 2/3 male guppies
