I got myself 2 new dalmation mollies this moring :d:D:d:D

How do i tell what ones a male and which is a female ?

They do look diffrent one has a longer anal fin ...It's like it's got 3 fin's there one is largrer than the other 2 is this male or female ?

Ha da wee browse but can't really see anything about it ! lol

They seem to be settling in well my gourami has came out of his hiding place to nose about :D

the chnaces are she already is lol livebearers have a habbit of that :p but if not im sure within days lol

they are not dalmation fishes but they are called MARBLE MOLLIES...

the difference is in their fin...

just what 5steady told you...

females are bearing their babies in their body in 4-6 weeks...

just be watchful on their sizes because as their stomach get bigger, it is possible that they are already pregnant...

_)

If that makes any sense to anyone cam on phone is crap and can't get decent pics til i get my sis to come along with her cam ..Read other posts and people have posted pics and they look identical to mine

ideally you should have 2 or 3 females to every 1 male to avoid stress, so pick up another female if you can :good:

Marble mollies have more a of a marble effect where dalmations have a spotted effect

They have fry every 4-6 weeks (mainly at the 5 week mark) they can have up to 150 depending on size.
The female holds sperm packets for up to 6 drops (average 6 months) so once a male mates with her, even if he is removed she will continue to have fry.

The Top Pic looks like mine but there tails are different to those ones

i'm sure there was a post on here couple of days ago about someone wanting them ID'd cause there tails were weird

They're def Dalmation tho not Marbled . I'll try get some pics of them tonight hopefully they'll stay at peace so i can capture them on my phone :D
