Many thanks for the continued welcomes- much appreciated.
After many water changes, addition of further planting and a thorough filter and gravel clean todays tests are thus
PH- 7.4
NH3- 0.25ppm
NO2 - 0ppm
NO3 - 10ppm
Obviously a vast improvement from previous on the NO3 and with water changes from now on I have bought a dechlorinator that also combats ammonia so fingers crossed I'll get that down to 0 shortly!
The snails are still way out of control, there are literally hundreds despite reducing feeding, the addition of the Assassins and I know I've been naughty in keeping the clown loaches too but they just seem to feast on cucumber and whatever they can find in the substrate(which could well be snails of course). I read that it will take a long long while for them to reach a size that would make them uncomfortable in my tank and I hope to progress to a larger tank before that time. If not then a suitable home will be found accordingly.
Also, as of this morning, we have an incredible 25No. Albino Plec Fry that I can count in one hit. There are likely to be more of course as the blighters will not stay still for a head count

These have come from 2 further breedings from the initial 5No. I had in my initial post up top. My local fish store has said they will take them from me although they stressed that they wouldn't pay for them..! A friend wants to take a pair too. Am i correct in assuming that they are good to leave home now or do they need some time to establish themselves??
Thanks for reading and for your time once more.
i wouldnt worry about the snails, if they go onto the front glass just push them off with the mag float, works for me!
Hi Blubble,
The system says you have started a private conversation with me but I can't access the private messaging system for some reason!
I'm not ignoring you, honest
Feel free to post in this thread if it's easier. Unless you were asking for a date, in which case, I'm already taken
