ok well i went to LFS and saw a red male betta.. i wasn't going to have him but my mum pursuaded me 
hes a VT and bright red with the obvious "pet-shop betta" iridescent blue .. but hes nice i never manage to find red ones..
i was going to wait and buy a quality one but hes cute enough for now and i cant breed yet anyway, my guppy had fry in the tank i was going to use
will try to get some pics
