The last thing I needed was a new fish, but when I went to pick up a new test kit today I saw this little fella and just couldn't say no!! He was pointing his little feelers at me and dancing
My LFS regularly gets dwarf gouramis, but this is the first time they've had a honey (he IS a honey, right?) He was the only one, too. After I take my platies back to the LFS (one female died during birth and I don't want the male to harass the remaining female, nor do I want any more platies) I might get this guy a female... my local Walmart has female honeys all the time :D

He needs a name, any suggestions?

dont feel bad :p all of my fish have names and i could name them now but it'd be a long LONG list :D hehe

edit: call him friend :)

I just call my fish "Hey there little guy!" and things like that. The only fish I've ever given a name to was my Oscar. I called him Bundy (as in Ted Bundy).

He looks like a Felipe or a Juan to me.

I like him :), i dont have names for my fish, so i cant help you their lol

he looks cool what setup is he in?
He's in my 10 gallon right now with 2 platies who are going to the pet shop next week, two khuli loaches, several ghost shrimp, an African dwarf frog and a lone cory that is as old as dirt. There was a female betta in there too but she got columnaris and is in quarantine for a few more days... I'll probably try putting her back in the 10 because I've had bettas and gouramis work well together before, but if anything goes wrong she'll have to have her own tank :)

I was gonna put mister gourami in with 29 gallon until I realised he would make a bite-sized snack for my bichir :|
