Hello all!

I've been fish keeping for a number of years, and normally dabble in Cichlids. Lately I've gotten into Africans, and I can't believe how entertaining they are! I started out with one tank, and of course now have two more. One is shut down at the moment due to a heater malfunction, but the rest are running great. :)

I just came across this site while looking for some help for my Hoplias malabaricus (Common Wolf Fish). I've had him since he was 2.5" and he's now 7"... and has gone 7 days without eating. Normally he;s a hog. I was hoping some people here would be able to advise me, since I don't want to lose him. Is there a Hospital section here where I can add more details?

Thanks!

Welcome and sorry about your Wolf Fish.

You can put the details in the Tropical Emergencies section.

Hi, welcome to TFF! Have you changed or added anything to the tank lately?

If the wolf fish is already nice and healthy then you have some time, they can go for close to a month with no food.

What is your ammonia, nitrite and nitrates reading?

My gosh, did I not say hi?

Thank you for the welcomes! :)

Sawwickib, I'll put the details in the Tropical Emergencies section and maybe you and some of the others here can help me out.
