Hello all,
I just recently found this site and thought I'd check it out. Currently, I own 3 betta fish- Finneus, Big Red, and Levi. Fins and Levi are both Piebald Vein Tail Bettas and Big Red is a solid red Vein Tail. Here's a few pictures of them
A little about my fish:
Fins is a Red/White piebald betta and lives in a 2.5 gal tank with a filter and a heater. He used to have a beautiful 1/2 red and 1/2 white/clear tail about a year ago. He decided to play Russian roulette with the filter and allowed it to get sucked up in the filter. I decided the filter had a tad too much pull, so got a smaller one which Fins got along really well with for about 5 months. His tail grew back, though all red with just a lining of white at the tip. He decided to do the same thing with that second filter and let his tail get messed up again. I bought another filter with even less suction (which is working great) and he is starting to grow his tail back...but very slowly. He looks kind of funny right now lol. His favorite food is live brine shrimp. His tank mates are a Black/Green Apple Snail and several ghost shrimp. There were 2 snails in there which he had been living with for months, but one died this morning and was eaten. I don't know if it was by him or the shrimp. He has natural gravel and a bunch of live plants in his tank, as well as the decorations I have. http

Big Red as of today is also in a 2.5 gal tank. He will be getting a new filter and possibly a heater tomorrow. His tank is also now filled with natural gravel and live plants. Already he seems to love it. He was in an Aqueon 1 gal aquarium with a filter, which was working great for him. He has had a growth spurt since I first got him and has doubled in size. I didn't have to, but I decided to upgrade his tank as he seemed a little cramped in the 1 gal. His tankmates are a Black/Green Apple Snail and a Yellow Apple Snail. He had a ghost shrimp too, but decided it was lunch instead. http

Levi is my most recent addition. He is a tiny dark blue/white piebald vein tail. He lives in an Aqueon 1 gal aquarium with a tank and filter. I tried a snail and a ghost shrimp at different times with him and he killed both. He's a fiesty little guy and sadly chooses to have no tank mates. http

A little about me- I have had fish of some sort all my life and love keeping them! I became hooked on betta fish (and all fish) after I got my first one, Oscar many years ago. He lived for 4 years. I hope to actually be able to set up a nice aquarium one day and have all sorts of community fish. They are so relaxing.
I think I wrote a bit much...Sorry. Have a good one!
