Hi; just thought I'd introduce myself and my aqua buddies. I'm Elijah, and I currently have three tanks running; a 10g with a dwarf puffer and three ghost shrimp, a 5.5g with a VT betta and apple snail, and lastly a second 5.5g with a VT betta. I'm in the process of building my own 150g tank for a Fahaka Puffer, which I hope to have finished in the next few weeks. :]

Welcome to the forum zombie.
We have lots of betta fanciers here so you will likely find lots of common ground with them. I have recently ventured into the wild type bettas by getting a pair of Betta simplex. Many of our members have never seen a wild type betta so I find little company in fellow keepers of these fish. My male seems to be holding right now, they are mouthbrooders so it is not totally unexpected. I will soon be removing the female to give him a chance of carrying the fry to a state where they can survive without his care.
