New Heater Not Working?

Got my new heater today, I put it in the tank diagnol and plugged it in and set it to 72 theres no light coming on and it doesnt feel warm, why isnt it working? Just my luck to get a broken one! if it is a faulty one then that really ****** me off! Its an interpet delta therm, is there any thing on these hetaers you have to switch on to make them work or something?!

give it time...they go on and off. youve probably missed it coming on, they will switch on and off loads of times before getting to temperature

Turned off my bedroom light and it seems to be working, only in the dark i can see an ornage light glowing lol! it doesnt seem to be rising the temp but i guess its not warm enough yet
