New Guppy - attacked by other guppies

Sorry it's awful, and when you can't do anything even worse.

I'm gonna have to agree wiht wilder, this really doesn't look too good. From what I remember from your first post, there were low levels of nitrite and ammonia in the tank. Don't add any more fish until those are back at zero for a few days. Then you can try again.

I've done a 45% water change and the remainder of the fish are fine. My water stats are all perfect now. I did a water change yesterday too due to Sphinxy's problems and didn't do a water test after that - so the stats were before the two water changes.
I don't want to do another water change tomorrow!!!
The four remaining guppies look really happy and although they are flirting a lot the females don't seem to be stressed by it.....do I try and get another female or do I leave it as that? Although if Sphinx recovers I'll need another to at least keep the balance right as I've got really attached to him so I won't want to give him back if he recovers fully. Although now he'll have to be 110% before I try after this incident.
I'm also transporting 5 fish out of the tank on Wednesday as my friend is having them (they were given to me by an owner that couldn't cope but I don't really want them) that should help towards the amonia, nitrites, nitrates, etc too, although they are all fine now.
Maybe two more females at once would be safer as maybe they'll help each other rather than be a 'new fish'!!
Anyone who ever says...."keeping fish can't be difficult" send them to me!!! Especially as my (now paid job!) of taking on ill fish from LFS and trying to diagnose....treat....and then give back!!!
Thanks for all your help by the way.....Oh and......she's actually still fighting.... she still looks weak and obviously is a very beaten up fish but she is actually swimming a bit now...we'll see whether she makes it through the night and I can reassess.

How's she doing.

This little fish is a real fighter. I was thinking last night that it was going to be clove oil time...something I have always dreaded and never had to do...however, she's swimming better now. She goes through phases, she'll hide in the corner of her isolation tank and curl her caudal fin around her or she'll be swimming around. Her caudal fin is really shredded and she soon runs out of energy but she's fighting.
I called the LFS today and they were so appologetic, bless them. They no me really well in there considering I sort of work there and am in there everyday. check the remaining fish in there and ensure that there are no other problems. I'll talk to them again Thursday now as I'm on a delivery job for them tomorrow. They're going to I'm keeping her on here and keeping her in isolation. Melafix time!!
The two girls that picked her out for me (who I care for - childminding/nannying) were devastated. They sat by her tank for half of the day trying to help her. The eldest was desperate to try and feed her and she did have half of a flake! I wouldn't let her have too much though. They were also trying to 'give her oxygen like she is in human hospital' by moving an air pump with an air stone in and out a bit 'but not too much at once Sarah or you'll scare her with the bubbles'!! They've been really good about it but are also really upset about it. Bless them...and they told the other guppies off!!
I'm really hoping she will pull through but.....if she does do I try and re-introduce her and see what they do or............?!?!?!

Good luck, hope she does pull through, nice reading that last post.
