I used to breed guppies, and love having the babies. I loved looking for them in the tank when they arrive, and watchin them grow :D At the end of the summer i exchanged a few of my babies for some lovely new males they had got in the pet shop. Unfortunately, they had a disease that spread through my whole guppy population. The three males i got died first, followed by my own 19 guppies.,

It was so annoyed over it. But never replaced the ones I lost. Anyway i got three females today. Gettin more next week, and then some nice males and presto!!! Will hopefully have babies again

Any one else like babies as much as me???

I always look forward to seeing new fry in my tanks. Because I specialize in mostly livebearers, that is becoming a common occurrence, but it is still fun each time.

i love seeing fry in my tank! i just noticed my molly had fry today! she had 5 so far! my guppy females have fry almost every month so its sooo exciting to watch their colors come out!

I love seeing fry,and watching their colours coming through,i noticed i had a strange colour fry from the platys, now its older it looking like my male platy of white with black spots, very cute.

With over 250+ guppy/platy fry they keep me busy, but i love em :)

Good luck with yours

Hey thanks for ur replies :D
ya i love watchin their colours to see how they're turning out, it really is so exciting

I have a male and female guppy that are never intrested in each other but i bought another female and she gave birth to 3fry about 3weeks ago and she died so i cant wait for the "three amigos" to grow up to see what color the father was ,you got to love new fry in a tank

Yea raising live bearers is so much fun and not so difficult compared to other fishes. I have raised over 8 generations in my tank in as little as 2 years. Given the fact they are able to give birth every 4 weeks given a proper female to male ratio, means many fry! :D The hard part is letting them go or having to sell them later on when you have witness them grow as a fry. You can easily have 200+ fry with a few females in 2 months since they can give birth of up to 60+ fry if healthy. Glad you are enjoying your fry. I am currently going to try and breed Praecox Rainbows again. I just love them.
