I got this new gal for 50?.!

Im thinking of naming her Ginny.

Is she a veil tail

"Only" 2 MP? I've seen better pictures using sub 1MP cameras.

Anyway I can't really see much from that pic. Can you take a couple more pics that aren't so out of focus?

The strawberry cheesecake girlies are really "in" now. I saw a bunch at my lps Thursday. I was so tempted. But I am getting a batch from Synirr next Thursday, and one is reputed to be a Cambodian red. Figured I better wait to see. I will post pics of them once they are settled or in beanies or whatever seems cool at the moment. Then you can laugh at my pics.

Great buy, raeburter! The ones here cost more than the boys: $4 or so.

Does your camera have a macro setting (with the flower?)

The reason for the poor quality pics is that i dun hav an aquarium light for my bettas..

you need to feed the fishes first and then sit and wait for hours and hours to get good photos..if you are me anyway. I have only ever seen one cambodian fishy near me and he is mine!

dont quote me..but her tail looks too spikey for a VT...dunno though....my Brodie would thinks she was a bit of alright

Still hard to tell for me, but I'd say shes either a VT or a Delta, I couldn't really see her anal tail that good. 6 nice girl, by the way. First of the second set of pics looks more like a VT to me, second picture looks more delta.

One says she looks spikey which might = to a crown tail..

Another said that she was a veil or a delta....

Is there any pros that can be 100% sure what my female is?

Put her in a beanie box; set her where the light shines from your back onto her; make sure you have a pic that someine who has never seen her can recognize; change the post title: "New Gal, ID needed, please!"

Because of the picture quality, it's probably impossible for even the most experienced person to say certainly what sort of tail type that fish is. A better way of working it out is for you to learn to tell yourself.
